Acceptable use policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026
This policy forms part of our terms of service. It exists because shared hosting is shared: one account behaving badly degrades the service for everyone on the same hardware, and unlawful content puts the whole platform at risk.
Content you must not host
- Anything unlawful under the law of England and Wales, or which infringes another person’s intellectual property.
- Child sexual abuse material, or content that incites violence, terrorism or racial or religious hatred. These are reported to law enforcement, not warned about.
- Material that harasses, defames or impersonates.
- Phishing pages, malware distribution, or command-and-control infrastructure.
- Content whose lawfulness depends on age or identity verification you are not actually performing.
- No unsolicited bulk email. Every recipient of a marketing message must have opted in, and you must be able to show when and how.
- No purchased or scraped mailing lists.
- No forged headers, and no relaying through third-party servers.
- Bulk sending should go through a dedicated email service, not shared hosting — the deliverability will be better and the platform stays healthy.
Resource use
Shared plans are sold on fair use. The following are not permitted on shared hosting:
- Cryptocurrency mining, or any sustained process that exists to consume CPU.
- Using the account primarily as file storage, a backup target or a media distribution point rather than as a website.
- Public proxies, VPN endpoints or torrent trackers.
- Long-running processes and cron jobs that are scheduled aggressively enough to affect neighbours.
If your site outgrows shared hosting we will tell you and help you move up, rather than quietly throttling you.
Security obligations
- Keep your applications, themes and plugins up to date. Out-of-date WordPress is the single most common cause of compromise we see.
- Use strong, unique passwords and enable multi-factor authentication where it is offered.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account or site has been compromised.
How we enforce this
Where we can, we contact you first and give you a chance to fix it. Where a site is actively harming others — sending spam, serving malware, or hosting unlawful material — we will suspend it immediately and tell you afterwards. Serious or repeated breaches end the contract without refund.
To report abuse on our platform, email support@tkjglobalmedia.com with the URL and enough detail for us to investigate. We take reports seriously and we will confirm receipt.
